After breakfast, proceed towards the Rasuwagadhi border to complete immigration formalities and enter Tibet. Continue your drive to Kyirong, a scenic town surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes. Witness a striking transformation in scenery—from lush greenery to rugged high-altitude terrain. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Kyirong.
Today, journey deeper into the Tibetan plateau, passing breathtaking landscapes and natural wonders. Witness the mighty Brahmaputra River and the serene beauty of Paigu Tso Lake along the way. The vast open terrain, snow-capped mountains, and endless skies create a truly mesmerizing experience. Arrive in Saga, check in to your hotel, and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive towards the holy Lake Mansarovar, one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations. Upon arrival, experience the divine aura of the lake with stunning views of the surroundings. Perform a sacred parikrama of the lake by vehicle, collect holy water, and soak in the spiritual energy of this sacred site. Dinner and overnight stay at a guesthouse near Lake Mansarovar.
Begin your morning with a sacred puja at the serene Lake Mansarovar, where pilgrims perform rituals and take blessings in this spiritually powerful setting. Surrounded by majestic Himalayan landscapes, the peaceful environment offers a deeply divine experience. After completing the rituals, proceed with a scenic drive towards Darchen, the base camp for the Kailash Parikrama and gateway to the holy Mount Kailash trek. Upon arrival, check in and rest while preparing for the upcoming trek.
After breakfast, drive to Yam Dwar, the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. From here, begin your trek of approximately 12 km towards Diraphuk, walking through breathtaking Himalayan terrain with mesmerizing views of the north face of Mount Kailash. The journey is spiritually uplifting and physically rewarding, offering close glimpses of the sacred peak. Upon reaching Diraphuk, settle into your accommodation and rest for the night amidst the tranquil surroundings.
This is the most challenging yet spiritually significant day of the yatra. Begin early and trek towards the high-altitude Dolma La Pass (5,530 meters), the highest point of the Kailash Parikrama. After crossing the pass, visit the sacred Gauri Kund, associated with Goddess Parvati. Continue your descent through rugged terrain towards Zuthulphuk. The day is physically demanding but offers immense spiritual fulfillment. Overnight stay at Zuthulphuk.
After breakfast, complete the final stretch of the trek with a short walk of around 3 hours to Chongdo, marking the end of the Kailash Parikrama. From here, drive back to Darchen and continue your journey towards Saga. The drive offers beautiful views of the Tibetan plateau and surrounding mountains. Upon arrival in Saga, check in to your accommodation and relax after completing the sacred and life-changing Kailash circuit.
After breakfast, retrace your journey back through the vast Tibetan plateau towards Kyirong. Enjoy the scenic landscapes once again as you gradually descend from the high-altitude region. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Kyirong.
After breakfast, proceed towards the Rasuwagadhi border, complete exit formalities, and re-enter Nepal. Drive back to Kathmandu, celebrating the successful completion of your spiritual overland journey. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax overnight.
